Kharkiv Mayor Gennady Kernes will give the investigators the bullet fragment extracted from his body during medical operation, reports “Radio Svoboda” (UA).
Gennady Kernes commented the results of his 9 hour operation in Tel Aviv: “A small bullet splinter was removed, it was in 2 cm from the spine together with the remnants of the bones that were crushed by a bullet.”
In addition, surgeons have set Kernes new modern design, a kind of skeleton on the spine to strengthen it.
BACKGROUND: Kharkiv Mayor Gennady Kernes was seriously wounded in April 2014 while jogging. Criminal proceedings opened.
Due to the operation the hearing on the case of Gennady Kernes was delayed. His two guards are currently in Poltava, accused of kidnapping, and beating two euromaidan people. Kharkiv Mayor claims that the criminal proceedings against him were fabricated.
