In the international ranking of happiness prepared by Sustainable Development Solutions Network for the United Nations, Ukraine ranked the 123th place out of 157, according to the results of the study World Happiness Report Update 2016.
The analysis took into account the GDP per capita, social support, lifetime, freedom of choice, corruption and other factors.
Ukraine, together with India, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, two North African countries, Egypt and Yemen enters a group of countries whose population feels less and less happy with each passing year.
The happiest country is Denmark, according to the study. The second place took Switzerland followed by Iceland, Norway, Finland, Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Australia and Sweden.
On the last places in the ranking are Burundi, Syria, Togo, Afghanistan and others. Russia ranked 56th, Belarus got 61th place.
