Press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in th Kharkiv region reported that the police have drawn up about 800 protocols (charge sheets) for violation of traffic rules within the first month of work.
“Almost 70 protocols have been drawn up for drivers who were ruled to be intoxicated. Also, patrol documented 90 traffic accidents in which 3 people were killed and 113 injured,” informs the statement.
Within a month the police are keeping order on the roads, responding to the challenges of street robbery, stopping offenses, and detaining intruders.
According to the head of the patrol police Eugene Melnyk, not all policemen withstood such a busy schedule: five policemen left. Some of them have gone on their own, others were dismissed for misconduct.
