Germans seek agrarian cluster in Kharkiv region

Head of the Regional Council Sergey Chernov met with the consultant on economic reforms of the German Advisory Group in Ukraine, David Shaha, to discuss implementation of joint projects in the agricultural sector.

Shaha named the trends of the past two years and suggested that the food and timber industries are beginning to grow.

“I visited several enterprises of Kharkiv and made sure they have the desire to cooperate. They are well aware that such a cluster as a tool. Besides, agricultural enterprises are interested in identifying international markets for their products,” said the consultant.

He told that, with the support of German specialists, we can create an agricultural cluster, and launch it as a pilot project for 2 years. It will help to measure the effectiveness of cooperative agricultural enterprises in the region.
