Kharkiv Mayor Gennady Kernes has called a halt to the heating season as of April 5.
Heating will be switched off in homes and rooms equipped with individual heating devices.
Heating in hospitals, schools and other civil and socio-cultural institutions will also be shut down due to the average temperature for three days in a row exceeding 8 degrees С.
