Public organization “Hear Me” has organized a series of workshops on sign language in Kharkiv.
“Hear Me’s” representative Juliana Frankivskaya informed of the new project as part of the “Unified Social Network” conference on March 1.
The sign language training was one of the winning projects of a contest under city project “United Social Network” and for this, the municipal budget allocated 20,000 UAH.
According to Frankivskaya, it is planned to teach police officers, rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, employees of district offices of Labour and Social Protection, territorial social service centers, district centers of administrative services and Kharkiv employment center.
The training schedule will be compiled with the heads of agencies and organizations. On completion, course participants will receive certificates and be able to gain significant benefits on entering employment.
“Hear Me” is planning to teach sign language to employees of public utilities, tax authorities, pension fund management and other organizations.
