On December 18 in Kharkiv was held a grand event – a charity concert “Classical extravaganza. World of music – for children”. Some of the best musicians in the world gathered on the big stage of the Kharkiv National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in order to fulfill the immortal classical works and help children.
First in Ukraine one of the best cellists of our time László Fenyő (Germany) played the cello of 1695 year of the famous Italian artist Matteo Goffriller. Also on the stage played the outstanding musicians, winners of international competitions Daniel Austrich (Germany), brothers Sergey and Alexander Dvornichenko (Ukraine). The concert was accompanied by the symphony orchestra of the Kharkiv Philharmonic under the direction of world-renowned conductor Kirill Karabyts.
The three-hour concert gathered more than a thousand spectators in Kharkiv National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
This is the fifth annual concert within the framework of the project. The organizers of the “Classical extravaganza” which was founded in 2012, are brothers Dvornichenko and Charitable Foundation “Zabota/Care”.
The bulk of the tickets are traditionally given to the orphans and disadvantaged children. For them it’s a unique opportunity to come into contact with the world of art of the highest level.
All collected funds will be transferred to the charity fund “Zabota” for the purchase of high-tech equipment and materials for operations for children with congenital heart disease in the department of cardiac surgery of the Institute of General and Emergency Surgery of Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine in Kharkiv.
