One of the heads of the State Fiscal Service and his subordinate, a senior inspector, were detained at the time of receipt of a bribe amounted to $10 thousand for a reduction of sanctions to a private enterprise, as the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine reported.
Moreover, during the detainees’ house-check an additional 130 thousand hryvnias, more than 20 thousand dollars, and 30 thousand euros, as well as jewelry and weapons were seized.
The taxmen admitted the receipt of 100 thousand hryvnias for the closure of a criminal case against employees of a commercial association. Now, the criminal proceedings under part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code (bribery on a large scale) was instituted against themselves. They could face up to 12 years imprisonment.
