European partners noted that in Kharkiv as well as in other cities, the cost of travel in the subway doesn’t cover all expenses. After the construction of the new station, the city will have to serve the new depot, respectively, subway maintenance costs will increase.

First vice-mayor noticed that in connection with the fiscal decentralization of municipal budget, revenues have increased, so the city is ready to provide financial support to the Kharkiv Metro.

“We don’t intend to raise the price for subway. We won’t in addition to tariff rising increase the fare. It will be a tough financial burden for people,” Terekhov said.
