Wi-Fi installed in Metro station

Wi-Fi has been installed in another station of the Kharkiv Metro: “Ploshcha Povstannia”. This was reported on the official page of the metro on Vkontakte. According to the press release, this is the fifteenth subway station to have wireless internet.

In addition to this, people with disabilities will now be assisted in the subway. From today a special telephone line has been activated – disabled people can use this to inform metro staff that they are planning to use the subway, and they will be helped at an agreed time.

The telephone line should be used by disabled people and/or their carers to give information about their planned route and time. The phone number is 731-00-00 or 0-800-507-507 (free from mobile phones).

BACKGROUND. As we already informed, Wi-Fi networks has been set-up on other stations of the metro – at stations “Sportyvna”, “Oleksiivska”, “Pivdennyi Vokzal” and “Arkhitektora Beketova”“Kholodna Hora” and on the central bus station of Kharkiv (Haharina Prospect, 22). Wi-Fi also appeared at the station “Botanichnyi Sad” and “23 Serpnya”. In addition, the wireless network is working at the station “Maidan Konstitutsii”, “Istoruchni Muzei”, “Universytet”, “Derzhprom” and “Naukova”.
