Runners from Nuremberg are to take part in the third International Kharkiv Marathon, announced Dmitry Garmash, the organiser of the event.
“For our third event, some participants of the Kharkiv International Marathon will be guests from our twin city, Nuremberg. The participants will be from their running club “Never Walk Alone”. We are incredibly pleased that the event will now involve active people from all over the world,” said Garmash.
The marathon will be held on April 9th.
The organizer of the marathon – Ukrainian sport events, product partner – Adidas, partners – Point, Pushkin and Mafia Entertainment, Kharkiv Sport City, Plarium, Association of International Marathons and Distance Races.
The Kharkiv International Marathon is an annual event, which in 2014 was listed in the Ukrainian Book of Records as the largest marathon in the country. Due to this event, Kharkiv is called the running capital of Ukraine.
The route of the race is laid out on the central streets of Kharkiv, covering most main attractions of the city. The start and finish are located in the heart of Kharkiv, one of the largest squares in Europe – Svobody Square.
