According to the statement of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, in the near future in the district departments and police departments will be introduced innovations. In particular, law enforcement officers from Kiev, Lviv and Kharkiv regions will be the first.
“In the coming days we will begin implementation of the new organization of the work of regional departments and police departments in three regions: Kyiv, Kharkiv and Lviv. We will start with the Kiev region. The policemen will come out of the offices to the streets in all 430 small and medium-sized cities, 880 villages and 28 thousand settlements of Ukraine where live 24 million people – half of the country,” noticed Arsen Avakov.
According to his calculations, it will be formed 1476 response units in which will be involved 12,000 of qualified police officers trained and able to provide expert assistance.
At the same time, Kharkiv policemen vaguely understand what and when will change in their work.
“We are sitting on a volcano and make a guess what will happen next. We know only that will conduct re-attestation of the police officers,” told Kharkiv policeman.
In the State Institution of the National Police in the Kharkiv region are confident that innovations will help the police to become a real partner for the society, to reestablish public credibility in the law enforcement bodies so that every citizen felt in the policeman real and reliable defender of their rights and interests.
“Today our law enforcement system is undergoing total changes, the reform is carried out rapidly, new requirements fundamentally alter the criteria for evaluating police performance. I am confident that due to our joint efforts will be built new law enforcement agency in which every police officer will professionally and honestly serve the Ukrainian people,” said acting Head of the National Police in the Kharkiv region Anatoly Dmitriev.
