The actions of the company “Kharkivoblenergo” showed signs of violation of the legislation on economic competition protection, as the press service of the Antimonopoly Committee reported with reference to the checks carried out at the request of the consumer.
The Committee discovered that the power company groundlessly charged the consumer with debt for electricity supply. In addition, the company set a counter without consumer’s consent. According to the Antimonopoly Committee, such actions infringe upon interests of the consumers, what would be impossible if there is competition the electricity supply market.
Territorial offices should consider the recommendations of the committee required to terminate the above violations in a 10-day period from the date of receipt of the recommendations, as well as eliminate the causes of the violations and conditions contributed to it.
