An American project SAIUP has presented its strengthening academic integrity at Karazin National University on April 12.
On the eve the students involved in a survey to identify the level of compliance with the academic rules.
The majority of respondents during preparation of diploma and course works “refer to the information web-resource or other original sources, thus refusing to academic plagiarism”, the press-service of the University reported (RU).
SAIUP organizers noted that compliance with the academic regulations must occur not by compulsion, but willingly.
“The analysis of legislation concerning plagiarism shows that there are efficient options for protecting intellectual rights,” the representatives of the US delegation stated.
The project SAIUP initiated by the American Councils for International Education, and supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. It is designed for four years and will be introduced in ten higher educational institutions.
