93,400 unemployed people aged 15-70 years were fixed in 2015 in the Kharkiv region. That is by 10,100 people, or 9.8% less than in 2014, the press service (UA) of the Main department of statistics in the Kharkiv region reported.
Unemployment rate of the economically active working-age population in the Kharkiv region has decreased. So, it fell from 8.1% (in 2014) to 7.3%. The number of people of working age in the Kharkiv region in 2015 amounted to 1285.8 thousand people.
Among the regions of Eastern economic zone the highest unemployment rate was registered in the Poltava (12.4%) and Sumy (10.6%) regions.
