State Air Service of Ukraine has granted a license for the business of carrying passengers to aircraft company Anda Air, reports RBC-Ukraine, referencing the Ministry of Transport.

“Department of air transport, airports and international cooperation notify the company Anda Air of the decision to grant a license for the business of carriage of passengers by air transport,” says the order.

Anda Air Airline was registered in Kyiv late last year. It was founded by ex-head of Dart Airline Serhiy Shamenko and Heorhiy Avanesov. Shamenko is also head of Anda Air.

In July, Anda Air received its first aircraft, a McDonnell Douglas MD-83 and planned to obtain a Boeing 737-400. The company plans flights to Bulgaria, Albania and Georgia.
