Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has awarded 38 employees of the main department of the National Police in the Kharkiv region with personalized firearms.
Law enforcement officers were awarded during a tour of duty by Avakov, confirmed the ministry in response to a query from Dozor (RU).
“From February 2014 to July 2016 by a departmental incentive award of MIA of Ukraine, 38 employees of the main department of the National Police in the Kharkiv region were awarded firearms,” said the statement.
Names of the officers aren’t disclosed. The document stated that the money from the state budget wasn’t allocated for this.
“We also inform that state funds for the purchase of a departmental incentive honors Firearm was not spent,” the document added.
BACKGROUND: Incentive “Personalized Firearm” is a gun “Fort 12”, the body of which is made of alloy structural steel, and the pistol handle – made of noble wood. The gun has a factory label, trademark, as well as a plate on which is engraved the name, first name and patronymic of the award recipient.
