From May 24-29 a Hollywood actress, humanitarian and political activist, Goodwill Ambassador of the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), Ashley Judd was in Ukraine on an unofficial visit.
The American arrived from Istanbul to Kharkiv, and then went to the Donbass, reports Citysite (RU). She visited the ATO area as a representative of UNFPA for the second time.
This time the actress was in Kramatorsk, Slavyansk and Sviatogorsk, she visited hospitals, social centers and shelters for internally displaced persons (IDPs) where she met with women affected by the conflict.
“The fact you have become victims of violence is not your fault. You do not need to be ashamed of it, you deserve only respect for your struggle with this problem,” said the actress.
On May 29 Ashley Judd flew out of Kharkiv to Warsaw.
