According to indexes of SciVerse Scopus database, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University took second place among Ukrainian universities in the number of scientific publications, reports the press service of the university.
Higher educational institutions of Ukraine in the league table ranked by Hirsch index – a quantitative indicator based on the number of scientific publications and number of their quotations.
As of April 2016, 128 higher educational institutions of Ukraine are included in the database of Scopus.
Index of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University now is 57, it is five places higher than in the previous ranking.
BACKGROUND: Publishing Service “Uran” on commission from Osvіta.ua (UA), conducted scientometric monitoring of scientific and publishing activities in Ukraine on database indexes SciVerse Scopus, which formed the rating. You can see the full ranking of 2016 and 2014 (RU).
Database Scopus – a tool to track the number of quotations of scientific articles that are published by educational institutions. Database are constantly indexed over 20 thousand scientific journals, 370 book series and 5,5 million conference proceedings.
