SSU seizes dangerous vaccine for children


Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) in the Kharkiv region have suppressed an attempt of using the children’s tuberculous vaccine, which has not passed quality state controls, informs Politeka (RU) with reference to the press-service of the agency.

“220,000 doses of vaccine were imported from the Russian Federation. Almost 30,000 has not passed the state control of quality and have not received the mandatory conclusion of the State Service of Ukraine on medicaments of conformity of medical immunobiological preparations,” said a statement.

Employees of security services have revealed that one of the Kharkiv private clinics bought almost 15,000 uncertified doses of vaccine with a fake withdrawal of State Administration of Ukraine on Medicinal Products (SAUMP). Moreover, in the nearest time they were planning to begin to insert vaccine to children.

“Due to the intervention of the Security Service, SAUMP banned turnover and use of this lot of vaccine which will be liquidated. It has been decided to launch criminal proceedings under Article 358 and 321-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the SSU summarized.
