Kharkiv’s Svitolina unmoved at 16th in WTA rankings

The first Ukraine tennis “racket”, Kharkiv resident, Elina Svitolina has retained her 16th position in a new ranking of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), published April 4.

Lesya Tsurenko has advanced to 42 in the rankings, but Kateryna Bondarenko dropped to 63, Ukrinform reports.

The best Ukrainians in the women’s doubles rankings are Olga Savchuk – 45th, Kateryna Bondarenko 46th, Lyudmyla Kichenok – 58th and Nadiya Kichenok – 54th.

In the men’s Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings Kyiv resident Alexander Dolgopolov dropped to 30; Ilya Marchenko slipped to 70th, and Sergiy Stakhovsky rose to 108th place.

The best among Ukrainian men’s doubles is Denys Molchanov ranked at 88.
