Kharkiv tennis player beat ex-first “racket” of the world at the prestigious tournament in Miami

Ukrainian tennis player from Kharkiv Elina Svitolina keeps on winning in the prestigious WTA Premier tournament with a prize fund of 6.9 million dollars, which takes place in the US Miami.

In the third round Elina svitolina met with ex-first “racket” of the world – Dane Caroline Wozniacki. The battle lasted for 2 hours and 42 minutes. Svitolina lost the first set – 5: 7, won the second – 6: 4, and most importantly, a decisive, third one – 7: 6 (1).

Monday, March 28, Elina Svitolina meets with Russian Ekaterina Makarova. Now at 31 in the world, Makarova will fight in the first for her Miami quarterfinal against steely Ukrainian Elina Svitolina.
