Team Europe’s launch in Kharkiv

The EU Delegation in Ukraine will begin a new initiative – Team Europe – in Kharkiv to strengthen ties between the country and the EU.

The February 26 event will bring together experts and citizens who see the future of Ukraine in Europe.

Team Europe will strengthen the debate on Europe and Ukraine’s place in the EU, as well as dialogue between the EU and the Kharkiv region on the prospects and needs of the region in the context of Ukraine’s European integration.

During the first meeting in Kharkiv, experts will talk about the possibility of a free trade zone with the EU and how Kharkiv entrepreneurs can use them.

Local experts of group Team Europe will answer the question how to take advantage of the educational opportunities of the EU; how free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU affects the business, local development and employment.

These and many other questions, arose in many neighboring countries of Ukraine on the eve of their entry into the EU.

The speakers will include Marty Lutsar, Communications Manager of the EU Delegation in Ukraine; Vladimir Ermolenko, philosopher, writer, director of European programs of the NGO “Internews-Ukraine”, Taras Danko, professor at the National Technical University “KPI” and others.

The EU initiative will eventually roll out to other regions of Ukraine.

Team Europe experts will disseminate information on the prioritized reforms for the European integration, “translate” the events of the city, region or country in the European context, to debate about European values, EU assistance to Ukraine.

Reference. Team Europe is an initiative of the EU Delegation to Ukraine which is implemented by the NGO “Internews-Ukraine“. Group Team Europe is intended to unite the experts and professionals from different spheres experienced in EU-Ukraine relations.
