Kharkivens became the winners of the international contest of culinary art BESTCookFEST-2015 which was held in Kyiv from 4 to 6 November.
At the First International Culinary Festival BESTCookFEST-2015 Kharkiv team received 4 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals, informs the press service of the Kharkiv regional state administration.
More than 150 masterchefs from 7 countries (Belarus, Israel, Poland, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine and Croatia) participated in this competition.
In 20 different categories the best pastry chefs and cookery specialists of Ukraine and the world presented their signature dishes to the estimation of the fastidious jury. The international contest jury comprised of professionals from 11 countries (Austria, Albania, Israel, India, Iceland, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine and Croatia).
Kharkiv at the festival was presented by the team of restaurant-keepers as well as students and teachers of the Kharkiv College of Trade and Economics (Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics) – the winners of international contests.
In the nomination “Best Culinary School” – 2015 the college team won the “gold” and command Cup of winners having left behind the famous Kyiv Culinary Academy of Hector Jimenez-Bravo.
Following the results of the competition days the international jury awarded the team of the Kharkiv College of Trade and Economics with Grand Prix of the Festival BESTCookFEST-2015.
