More than 300 IDPs found work at the job fair. The event was held with the support of Kharkiv Regional State Administration (KRSA) in the premises of the sports center “Metallist” on October 22nd. The Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Vadim Glushko opened the job fair.
Almost 50 employers were invited to the job fair who offered both new and already existing vacant jobs. The IDPs from the Donbas and from other occupied territories of Ukraine had the opportunity to be seen professionally in machine-building, metalworking manufacturing, food, transport, light, IT industries and in the service and trade sectors. Employers were looking for doctors, teachers, accountants, managers, engineers. There were vacancies for public employees and opportunities for employment of people without qualifications among the proposals for a job.
More than 700 vacancies were introduced at the event. According to preliminary calculations, the number of participants of the fair exceeded 1720 people. Moreover, it has made more than 300 preliminary agreements on employment.
According to the director of the regional employment center Vladimir Minenko, the cooperation with volunteers and community organizations can expand to further employment opportunities.
“International donors may devote funds to finance socially important projects. One of them is the job fair “Career for a new life,” said Vladimir Minenko.
The event was organized by the International Charitable Fund “Caritas Ukraine”, Charitable Organization “Charitable Foundation “The station Kharkiv”, Kharkiv regional employment center, and KRSA.
