On October 17, at 16:00 the V regional competition of children’s drawings on the Greek theme “Light of Greece” will be finished. It is held in the premises of the Kharkiv Art Museum (ul. Sovnarkomovskaya, 11, Exhibition Hall, 2nd floor).
The event is a part of the fifteenth season of the Days of Greek culture in Kharkiv.
The competition is organized by Greeks society “Helios” to promote the cultural heritage of the Greek people, to educate the young generation of high ideals of Hellenism, to develop mutual enrichment of cultures of Ukraine and Greece.
The themes of the competition are legends and myths of ancient Greece, the origin of the world, the Gods of Olympus. The event was held with the assistance of the Department on work with citizens’ associations and Kharkiv City Council Kharkiv Art Museum. About 150 children of different nationalities participated in the contest. They were divided into two age groups: the children from 6 to 10 years and from 11 to 16 years.
