Olympics 2016: Kharkiv tennis player started with a devastating victory

The first racket of Ukraine has already foght with strong rival from Germany. Now she will meet a British tennis player, which was stronger in Eastbourne.

Elina Svitolina, a titled Ukrainian tennis player and a member of the “blue-yellow” team in Rio, successfully played her first match on the Olympic Games 2016. Ukrainian won, beating a German pleyer with a crushing score, reports the Observer.

Elina Svitolina debut at Rio turned spectacular. Her rival Andrea Petkovic from Germany is the 40th racket of the world now. After losing the first set, Ukrainian gathered her strength and won with a score of 2:6, 6:1, 6:3.

“So happy to get my first Olympic win ???? into next round..”, she wrote on her FB page.
