Feldman Ecopark in the framework of the International Charity “Fund of Oleksandr Feldman” saving rare animal species, transferred a cheetah to Kharkiv zoo, reports the press service of the City Council.

Cheetah is called Byron, he is 2,5 years old. According to the Feldman Ecopark’s staff, Byron behaves like a big cat – purrs, wants caress and demands attention. They believe that the pet will be sent to caring hands.

Now Byron is in a small cage, but soon he is to move to the apartment specifically designed for this type of cat, spacious and comfortable.

At the handover ceremony, first deputy mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov reminded about zoo reconstruction: “We are working together with German experts on the project. The main changes that will occur – is barrier-free architecture. Modern technologies allow to build space so that animals and humans will be very close to each other, and at the same time stay safe.”
