On the night of March 13 from 21.00 till 6.00 the StartUp Night was held at the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (KNURE). The event, designed for future businessmen and IT-workers, gathered more than 200 people.
The main purpose of the event was to develop start-up movements in the region, as well as search for and implement innovative ideas and projects in Ukraine.
11 lecturers shared their experience with the audience. Among them were the managing partner of the investment firm ICOM Capital Yuri Kostoglodov, head of branding agency Boomerang Dmitry Gritskov, an expert in the field of self-actualization and oratory Ivan Budko.
Advisor to the rector of KNURE, managing director of the Ukrainian Association of Venture Capital and Private Equity, ideologist of “e-government” in Ukraine Yanika Merilo shared her tips via Skype.
Speakers shared also their real stories, case studies, and of course, their huge experience, namely:
- how to turn your idea into a project
- where to get started
- how to make an attractive presentation
- how to get funding
- how to work with the team
- what problems you might encounter at each stage and how to overcome them
The project aimed to provoke similar free educational events across the country to show young people that their fate is in their own hands.
