Kharkiv millionaire becomes Honorary Consul of Austria

The founder of the company “Agrotrade”, millionaire and volunteer Vsevolod Kozhemyako, has been appointed as Honorary Consul of Austria in Kharkiv.

Director of Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine Olga Chubrikova handed to Kozhemyako exequatur to perform the functions of the Honorary Consul of Austria in Kharkiv.

The ceremony was held on March 2 at the MFA of Ukraine and was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria in Ukraine Hermine Poppeller.

Honorary Consul Kozhemyako has long-standing good relations with Austria and in his new role as the honorary consul will be an important factor in strengthening the work of the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in Ukraine, and be an important contact for Ukrainians and Austrians in the Kharkiv region.

Kozhemyako said the reactivation of the Honorary Consulate of Austria in the first capital was a very important event for Kharkiv and Ukraine.

The official opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Austria in Kharkiv will take place in the next few weeks.

BACKGROUND: Becoming Consul, Kozhemyako loses the opportunity to actively engage in politics and can’t hold positions in the civil service.
