February 16, Deputy mayor of Kharkiv Svetlana Gorbunova-Ruban met with the manager of the Austrian environmental organization “Global 2000” Christoph Otto. At the meeting, they discussed the issue of transfer of humanitarian aid from the Austrian environmental organization “global 2000” for Kharkiv hospital. This was reported by the press service of the City Council.

According to the vice-mayor, Kharkiv hospitals expect to receive advanced filters, hospital beds, mattresses, hygiene products, medical auxiliaries, children’s clothing and toys. The aid is to share between several institutions – hospital №16 (hematology department), city perinatal center, as well as agencies that provide assistance to the displaced persons. In addition, this summer 12 children with leukemia in remission will go to the recovery in Austria.

“We are cooperating with “Global 2000″ for 20 years and are very grateful for their help. Even now, despite the fact that they have a lot of the refugees themselves, and there are some problems, the organization continues supporting us”, – said Svetlana Gorbunova-Ruban.

Christoph Otto said that in Kharkiv foreigners found responsible people: “Here we find responsible people who understand our opportunities and the importance of this cooperation”.
