The residents of Kharkiv region who got into difficulties will receive more than one million hryvnias. Such a decision was made during a meeting of the Commission on the provision of a one-time cash assistance with the participation of deputies of the Kharkiv Regional Council.
According to the press service of the regional council, the commission examined 218 Kharkiven’s applications and related documents. Fire victims, people who need means for an operative surgical intervention in connection with cancer, and citizens who need extra money for their children’s treatment, have asked for the assistance.
In total, the participants of the meeting distributed to the Kharkivens’ needs 1 million 44 thousand hryvnias. The Commission was established to perform activities of complex social protection programs of Kharkiv region for 2011-2015, approved by the decision of the Regional Council of from February 17th, 2011 № 78-VI.
