The Department of Mass Communications of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration (KRSA) and the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine is carried out the selection of photographic and video works of volunteers in Kharkiv within the project “Fіlosofіya sertsia. Pochuttya scho formuyut zhittya/ Philosophy of Heart. Feelings that form a life.”
All those who has reached the age of 18 can participated in the competition. The jury will judge the works in two categories – “professionals” and “amateurs”. The main requirements of the contest: participation is open for photos and videos which cover the activities of volunteers of the Kharkiv region. At that deliberate demonstration of the combat activity, soldiers that are serving, military routine, weapons and military equipment is prohibited. The reception of the works will continue until December 15th.
The organizers noticed that the first materials that sent indifferent photographers and videographers will impress even those who had never come in contact with volunteering. “We got a strong emotional works. For all of us it is extremely important that volunteering gains strength, power, popularity in the society and reaches a high level. Today volunteering – is not just individual organizations and movements but the way of life for many Ukrainians. And the materials that we have already received confirm it,” said the organizer of the contest, the director of the Department of Mass Communications of KRSA Victoria Annapolskaya.
A professional jury consisting of well-known Kharkiv photographers, public figures and representatives of voluntary organizations will evaluate the works of the participants of the contest. The Dean of the Faculty of Cinematographic Art of Kharkiv State Academy of Culture Zoe Alferova is headed the jury.
