Kharkiv “Megabank” entered the top ten of the sustainable banks in Ukraine compiled on the results of 2015 by the magazine “Forbes-Ukraine” (in Ukrainian only).
“Megabank” which was transferred from “medium banks” to a group of “large banks” by the National Bank of Ukraine for 2015 year, shared the tenth place with the “Raiffeisen Bank Aval” in the ranking, gaining 2.8 points.
The ranking of banks by “Forbes” calculated on the base of the banks’ financial reporting data as of January 1, 2015. The purpose of the rating is to identify the banks with high intrinsic capacity to survive in the period of systemic instability.
When calculating the rankings used quantitative financial indicators, among them – the indicators of liquidity, profitability, capitalization taking into account qualitative factors of security of payments, support of shareholders and the risks of their origin.
To take a high place in the ranking for “Megabank” allowed the highest scores given by the experts according to the indicators of loan portfolio quality and regularity of payments. In addition, the bank received high estimates for profitability.
