April 16 clean days will be held in all districts of the Kharkiv region, informed the director of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Andriy Timchuk.
Participants of Аll-Ukrainian action will clean up illegal dumps, local areas, parks and squares. Garbage will be removed from banks of reservoirs, forests. It is planned to plant trees, shrubs, add flower beds and lawns. According to KRSA.
Kharkiv Regional State Administration encourages collectives of enterprises, institutions and organizations of all forms of ownership, public and youth organizations, volunteers and concerned citizens to take an active part in the action “For a clean environment”. Events will be organized by district administrations and local authorities.
Reference. In 2015, during the All-Ukrainian action “For a clean environment” 1973 illegal dumps have been liquidated in different areas of the city. More than 60 thousand trees, 21.7 thousand shrubs, 195.2 thousand square meters of lawns, 311.9 thousand square meters of flower beds were planted in the Kharkiv region. 563 thousand square meters of the shores of water bodies has been cleared. The event was attended by more than 550 thousand people, including 94 thousand schoolchildren and 12 thousand students.
