Ukrainians who have the right to work in Poland and receive income there every year send home around 5 billion euros.
According to the “Polish Radio“, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski reported about that with the reference to data from the National Bank of the Republic of Poland.
“About € 2.5 billion Ukrainians have sent by bank transfer, and another € 2.5 billion was transported across the border in the cash form. This is a great support for the economy of Ukraine,” “Polish Radio” quotes the head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the same time, Witold recalled that about 1 million Ukrainians work in Poland. In addition, in 2015 Poland issued to citizens of Ukraine about 900 thousand visas, including visas with a work permission. About 65 thousand Ukrainians have Pole’s Card, which equates their rights to the citizens of Poland.
