The State Enterprise “Kharkiv armored factory” transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine more than 50 restored and modernized tanks T-80BV and T-64 in 2015, as the press service of the State Concern “Ukroboronprom” reported.
The plant, which is a part of the concern, fulfilled the state defense order and obligations to Ukrainian customers.
According to “Ukroboronprom”, specialists of the plant carried out a full repair technological cycle of the tanks, the machines have been tested under the control of the customer’ representatives, after to be handed over to the army. During the year, the company has restored the technology of routine repair of the vast majority of the tanks components, in particular, of its engines. Thus, the plant created 112 new jobs.
SE “Ukroboronprom” was created in 2010 as an body of management of the enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine. At present, the company consists of more than 100 enterprises of the key sectors of the defense industry. 80 thousand employees are working at the concern now.
