Cabinet of Ministers approved revised title for design and survey works for the realization of the construction of Oleksiivska metro line from the station “Metrobudivnykiv imeni H.I. Vashchenka” to the station “Odeska” in Kharkiv.
The solution is fixed by government order №1172-p dated November 11, 2015. Under the agreement, the construction of the third line of Kharkiv underground is planned to begin in 2015 and finish in 2019.
The project envisages construction of 3.47 km of roads and two new metro stations – “Derzhavinska” and “Odeska”. The projected cost of construction works is 1.97 billion UAH design and survey works – 3.62 million UAH. As a result, the project will cost 2.66 billion UAH.
General project organization for both projects will deliver Private Joint Stock Company “Kharkivmetroproekt”.
November 10th Kharkiv mayor Gennady Kernes, during the inspection station under construction “Peremoha”, said: “Our strategic goal is the metro station “Odeska”. We want to have more extensive network of underground, it is very important for comfort and safety of the residents and visitors of Kharkiv”. Kernes also mentioned, that he had talks with the Ambassador of Japan in Ukraine. They were about the opportunities that can be provided by the Japanese side for the metro.
