The work on the creation of the youth council at the mayor continues in Kharkiv, said the secretary of the City Council Alexander Novak on October 20 during the meeting with students of Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University.
As the Secretary of the City Council noticed, Kharkiv is the capital of the students and the creation of such council was planned long ago. The composition of the youth council will include students, youth leaders and representatives of various public organizations.
The Director of the Department of Family, Youth and Sports, Constantin Loboychenko who also took part in the meeting said that at the level of the student government is impossible to solve many problems. Now young people have a real chance to be in direct cooperation with the city government and make new proposals.
And the Deputy Director of the Department of Family, Youth and Sports, President of the organization “Kharkiv Center of volunteers” Svetlana Sitnik said that the Youth Council will work on the same principle as the City Council. They will select the head and management team. The young people will be divided into commissions depending on the selected directions. According to her, until the second half of November the formation of the council will be finished. And until that time, the young people are expected to make proposals for the work of the council which can be sent to the email address: molod21@rambler.ru.
The City Youth Council is created with the support of the mayor Gennady Kernes. Such youth councils are already working in other cities of Ukraine, particularly in Zaporozhye, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk.
