On Monday, the first deputy mayor Igor Terekhov met with German journalists who arrived in the country in the framework of the project “Ukraine – from east to west.” The delegation represented the Federal agency of civil society at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The participants discussed important Kharkiv life aspects, including the problem of internally displaced persons from Donbass. Igor Terekhov explained to the delegation that cooperation with Germany already brought the city overall results as the first modular camp for displaced persons was built here. “We appreciate the help we received from the German government, the German society of the international community that provides humanitarian assistance for refugees from Lugansk and Donetsk,” said Terekhov.
Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kharkiv, Tatiana Gavrish, noted that Kharkiv has shown itself as an international city that accepts the challenge of modernity.
The delegation got acquainted with the sights of Kharkiv and talked to the local authorities. After Kharkiv, German journalists traveled to Kyiv and Lviv.
