Ukrainian service DonorUA won the Swedish competition “Startup Weekend”: Social Innovation held in Stockholm on March 18-20, according to AIN.UA
DonorUA is an automated system that helps to find a blood donor for a few days. Smart filters help the recipient to select donors with the right blood type, Rh factor, place of residence.
Technical director and founder of donor service Udonors, Alexander Krakovetskiy, said that a separate project was created for the international market.
“Until now we have been seen as a charity project. Although we did not get great material prizes for winning, now we have found a partner, expanded our circle of contacts,” explains Alexander.
Startup Udonors can help to solve key issues in Europe – to attract donors who give blood for the first time.
In addition, Kharkivens can join the all-Ukrainian action on blood donation. Events will take place on April 12. BACKGROUND: Startup Weekend includes in its network more than 150 countries and for the entire time of its existence it has helped to gather 23,000 startup commands. Within 54-hour hackathon idea becomes a prototype. Its main task is to validate the idea, get feedback and have fun.
