On Wednesday, The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Deputy Health Minister Ulyana Suprun to the post of acting Health Minister of Ukraine, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
The government approved it on Wednesday, 27 July.
BACKGROUND: Ulyana Suprun was born in Detroit, USA. In the fall of 2013 together with her husband moved to Ukraine. During Revolution of Dignity she was in Kiev on the Maidan. She worked in a health service, subsequently has headed humanitarian initiatives of the World congress of Ukrainians and has created the organization “Patriot Defence”, engaged in trainings on tactical medicine. It also provides Ukrainian fighters with the improved individual first-aid kits of the NATO standard. In October, 2015 she became the consultant of Verkhovna Rada health care committee. In July 2015 she has obtained the Ukrainian citizenship.
