According to preliminary information, one Ukrainian citizen was killed and another one was injured in the terrorist attack in Nice, France, on July 15, reports Ukrinform with reference to spokeswoman for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Mariana Betsa.
“According to preliminary information received from our embassy in France, one person was killed and one person was injured,” said Betsa.
BACKGROUND: A heavy truck drove at high speed into a crowd watching Bastille Day fireworks in the French Riviera city of Nice. After that the driver opened fire on passers-by. The truck driver was a 31-year-old a French citizen, native of Tunisia. Police found guns and grenades inside his car.
According to the French Interior Ministry, the number of victims of terrorist attacks in Nice has increased to 84 people. More than two dozen people are in critical condition.
