Odessa celebrated the Day of the Ukrainian Navy on July 3, reports UNIAN (UA).
The program included air show performances by pilots of Kharkiv Flying Club. They piloted jet planes L-29 and Su-31, making a variety of shapes, culminating with them painting a heart pierced by an arrow in the sky, said trassae95.com (RU).
The festivities were also attended by 15 warships, boats and vehicles from the Crimea.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko attended the ceremony and confirmed the appointment of a new commander of the Navy, Igor Vronchenko.
