On June 15 there was a meeting of first deputy mayor Igor Terekhov and Head of Trade and Economic Mission of the Embassy of Israel in Ukraine Elizabeth Solovyov, reports the press service of City Council (RU).
During the meeting the parties discussed issues of cooperation and possibility of realization of investment projects in Kharkiv.
“We are working on the result, that’s why Kharkiv ranked first place on the creation of the investment climate. We are always ready to cooperate with Israel and other countries,” said Igor Terekhov.
In turn, Elizabeth Solovyov noticed Israel is interested in cooperation with Ukraine, and in particular with Kharkiv.
She reported Israeli companies are ready to cooperate in the areas of energy efficiency and transport.
“The main direction is water resource. In Israel there is not enough water, so our technology is aimed at saving water. For example, we can cooperate with Vodokanal to upgrade wastewater treatment plants,” said the head of mission.
She added Israel is ready to cooperate in the field of safety public transport.
First Deputy Mayor of Kharkiv said this area is a priority of the work of city government: “Now we are negotiating with the EIB and the EBRD on attraction of credit resources for the construction of metro. Kharkiv is the only city in Ukraine, which is building the subway. In August we will open the 30th metro station, but we won’t stop and will develop Kharkiv underground in the direction of the airport.”
