Though Kangaroo Ashley and John got a kid in early March, he only recently started to appear from the mother’s pouch, reports the Feldman Ecopark.
“He is a bit shy, so almost all the time stays in the mother’s bag and gets her milk,” said Ecopark deputy director on zoo technical matters Valery Ivashchenko.
The family spends time in the outdoor aviary so everyone can see the little kangaroo.
Tiny has yet to grow strong, learn to eat properly and take care. It is not yet known if he remains in the Ecopark or is to join a collection of ay another zoo, said the experts.
BACKGROUND: Bennett kangaroo – a bright representative of the kangaroo family. In nature, this species is found only in Australia. They prefer living night life. Feldman Ecopark is a home to six Kangaroo Bennett.
