Mobile phone rates are becoming more costly, jumping 16 percent in April compared to 12 months ago, UNN reports (RU) with reference to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
Services of Ukrainian mobile operators continue to go up and, according to experts, in the coming months, the price will increase.
The price rise is due to the hryvnia devaluation: equipment is sold in the currency, but price for the use of radio frequencies and electricity charges has leveled up.
Ukrainian post rates also increased by 13% compared with April 2015. The tariffs for international and long-distance telephone communication increased by 0.4%, the local one (landline) leveled up by 8.5% over the year.
