Scientists from Ukraine and India are to cooperate on new developments, it has emerged.
State Research and Design Institute of Basic Chemistry (NIOCHIM) will cooperate with TATA Chemicals LTD (India), the world’s largest producer of soda ash, NIOCHIM’s press service reported (RU).
Local specialists visited a soda factory in Mithapur (India) to present its research and design potential, and examine its feasibility of new developments in Mithapur.
During the visit, the parties reached agreements on cooperation and signed minutes of the meeting determining reconstruction of chemical complexes in India.
BACKGROUND: NIOCHIM is the leading institute of chemical industry in Ukraine and the CIS in inorganic chemistry. The Institute deals with basic chemicals, such as soda and soda products, and is responsible for the development, scientific and technological level of production of 60 products of inorganic chemistry.
NIOCHIM cooperates with enterprises and firms of Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Germany, France, Bulgaria, Poland, Ethiopia.
