The French Ambassador to Ukraine, Isabelle Dumont, will perform with the Symphony Orchestra of the Kharkiv Regional Philharmonia on May 12.
“It was the initiative of chief conductor of the philharmonia Yuriy Yanko. Dumont is a musician. Before she became a diplomat, she actively gave concerts. At one of the meetings with Yuriy Yanko they spoke and the idea of her performances as part of Academic Orchestra of Kharkiv Philharmonia has created,” reports “Interfax-Ukraine” with reference to the press service of the Kharkiv Philharmonia (RU).
The concert will include Saint-Sans (Concerto for Cello and Orchestra) and Berlioz (Symphonie Fantastique).
“What exactly Dumont will play is a secret. It will be a surprise for Kharkivens. I can only say that the concert will include cellist and laureate of international contests Vladimir Fedorov,” said the press service.
