Ukraine is ranked 83rd in the world for enabling businesses to work.
The “Doing Business 2016” ranking looked at 189 countries, according to the Central Administrative Office of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
This year Ukraine was ranked four positions higher than in 2015.
According to 2016’s ratings, Ukraine ranked: Getting Credit (19th); Starting a Business (30th); Registering Property (61st); Protecting Minority Investors (88th) and Enforcing Contracts 98th.
But big problems beset Ukrainian business, including Getting Electricity (137th); Dealing with Construction Permits (140th) and Resolving Insolvency (141th).
It is interesting the neighbors of our country in the rating are Saudi Arabia in 82nd overall and Brunei Darussalam, 84th. Geographical neighbors with the best results are: Poland 25th place, Belarus – 44, Russia – 51, Moldova – 52.
